OK Labor is in.  Fuel down to 98c - $1.08 per litre. Very soon, Barack Obama is being sowrn in over in the States.  It's been a huge hear just gone, so busy in fact, I haven't been one to visit deviantArt to update anything.  In fact too many other blogs to update.   Christina has won the job she has always wanted, my daughter is into Highschool, and I am trying to stay exercised as I hold down this desk job. I've not been at the desk much though I must admit.  February took me to San Francisco and back.  Then Montreal.   Then Los Angeles, and then back to Montreal.  Followed by Los Angeles again.  Then Singapore.   Finally a holiday over o

So much happening in all aspects of my life at the moment.  Similar to most blogs, itting here in the study tapping away quietly, I suppose this is a little like a reality show confession-interview time for me. Ive just been to the Physio, a first for me, and Damien Ryan says I have a floating arm bone that come right out of its socket quite regularly.   Tad scary.  So thats why it hurts sometimes! OK.  A$1.30-ish for a litre here and a pound sterling for the same amount in the UK I read this morning.   Two weeks til the Fed Election and a heap of work to do on books and online at work.  Christina is going for a Box Hill TAFE job next week

OK the yearly chat.... Time check:   Petrol down to 115 cents per ltr.   APEC just finished in Sydney.   Massive earthquake in Sumatra and theres talk of an US-Iraq withdrawal (pulling back on the surge) but not by Australia.   Downer and Howard being just as pathetic as ever. Costello fuming in his boots.  There's a federal election soon, but H hasn't called it yet, and all the polls are saying Rudd has it in a landsliding 61% as preferred PM. Work: Love it.  Back from San Diego SIGGRAPH and about to scoot off to Montreal.  Tremendous selection of work going up on CGSociety at the moment, and I hope to rein in a few more game-oriented stor

Well,

I just tried to say good bye to an old friend. I have a rusty, (not too rusty) Peugeot racing bike that I bought 2nd hand in 1978. Yes, 1978. For $50. A French original.

I rode for many, (clearly many) years. Through ALL my later schooling, outlived ALL my girlfriends, pets, drugs, at least ten jobs, and moved out through seven houses and flats with me. It waited for me as I travelled the world backpacking for a couple of those years in the mid 80s. Its been here with me and my wife and daughter now, for a long time.

Well, I tried to dismantle it and put it out to hard waste. I'd been given a new bike (not a Peugeot, a cheap replacement and I'd ridden it instead as the Peugeot had begun to rust and had had too many years under the house.)

To cut short, I simply couldn't do it. I through out the old brown crusty wheels, but couldn't do any more.

Instead, I put it back within reach, and promised myself to rebuild it, and have it ready to ride again by March 2006. I feel better now.
Howdy Neighbour, just dropping by to say Hi~
Hey there back Vango003.

Thanx for letting me know there someone else out there. heh.
Never queue to get into a night club.

Never wait to tell superiors what you think, but think it through carefully first.

Never wait to tell a girl you love her, but think it through even more carefully first.

Always travel alone, because that way, you will never travel alone.

Always speak up if you don't want to do something, but never be afraid to do something new.

Never settle for a job that you don't enjoy. If you think you are better, then make it better or move on.
Hi,
I'm here because this forum is clearly no-holds-barred. The Gallery is superior and the creativity is dripping from each and every member. The organisation of each forum could be a little better thought out, but overall, it is the unpredictability that appeals. :D
